When I was making plans for my 2022 Camino-Frances hike, the Camino-Finisterre was just a hopeful idea. I didn’t know how my body would hold up traversing the Pyrenees on day one let alone walking almost 800km in 34 days. So it would all come down to how much time I had left once I arrived in Santiago de Compostela.
As it turned out, everything went to plan, my body held up and I then made the decision to just keep on walking to the Atlantic Ocean, to Cape Finesterre. Regarded as the “End of the World” by the Ancient Romans, I thought I might as well see what all the fuss was about.
As ad hoc as the Camino-Finisterre hike was, this section is still a work in progress. So stayed tuned!!
