As mentioned in my earlier GoPro Accessories entry, I didn’t really want to drag a heavy Digital SLR, its batteries, lenses, charger, padded case and so forth around with me, so I had to seek out other options to record the journey.
Although I’ll be taking a mobile phone with good image/video specs, and the added bonus of being waterproof, I wanted to make sure I had all I needed to capture this once in a lifetime adventure.
Initially, I had grand ideas of capturing my entire walk on the video camera but even with the GoPro Hero 10 and the rapidity it chews through its batteries I think I’m going to have to come up with a more realistic media plan.
Fortunately this groovy little device will no doubt be utilised after this trip also, so whether it goes with me or not and/or is used to its full potential doesn’t concern me that much. I will start trialling the possibilites and exploring the potential of the GoPro with some of my future training.
