Spare Trekking Pole Tips (8)

Pretty self-explanatory. Spare tips for my trekking poles.

For those unaware my trekking poles have tungsten/carbide flex tips which, although they provide awesome wearability and traction when walking on dirt and rocky terrain, they will possibly skid across harder surfaces such as concrete and/or asphalt. Additionally, they will produce an annoying “clack, clack, clack” against the harder surfaces that will be sure to drive everyone within earshot crazy.

So to cater for both surfaces types, rubber tips are available for most trekking poles and can usually be easily donned and removed at a whim.

These particular pole tips have a metal washer in the base to prevent the flex tips from punching through the base of the rubber tip.

I’m still undecided as to how many of the eight tips I should take with me, but I expect after another few hundred kilometers of testing these babies I’ll get a better idea of what $14 actually bought me. Ha ha.
