Treadmill Incline Training

While I finished off my Walking Stages section on this site I was constantly reminded that the terrain in Spain is far from flat.

In fact, of the 31 stages (31 walking days), 17 of those stages contain a Max Incline of between 16-29.2% and an average Max Incline of approximately 21%.

So when an impromtu gym session popped up I thought I’d hit the treadmill and crank it to it’s maximum incline and just get walking.

With the speed set to a constant 5km/h and the incline to 15%, I walked for 50min (4.1km). Talk about work up a sweat (and that’s without the 10kg loaded pack on my back).

Hopefully, I’ll get out into the mountains soon but until then I might need a few more of these sessions on the tready.

Note for Eagle Eyes: Speed reduced to 0.8km/h so I could take the photo without being embarrassingly spat off the end of the treadmill.
