Notes:
I was feeling a little flat as I hit the track today. Never a good postition to be in when you have 16km to go. So to say it was a struggle is an understatement and was summarily reflected in the extra 16mins (1min/km) it took me to arrive at my destination. But you know what? I arrived at my destination and that’s what matters.
And that’s exactly the mind-over-pain strength that I’ll no-doubt need on the Camino. There WILL be days when my mind will have to be the strongest part of my anatomy to get me to the destination.
But I won’t get ahead of myself too much. These have only been 16km days, on flat terrain, and I’ve still got to back it up again tomorrow. Let’s see how I feel then.
