GoPro Enduro Battery (x2)

So I’m just buying stuff in dribs and drabs now as I test and adjust, trial and trash my previous purchases.

For those playing at home, you may remember I was able to trial my GoPro Hero 10 a couple of weekends back when I had a crack at the Cowan and Cockle Creek Grand Circuit.

Everything went well with an expected battery change required after hiking for about 10km and with the camera mode on TimeWarp (30x speed). Addtionally, as my 2nd battery began to scream at me a further 10km later I utilised my GoPro USB Door and Powerbank to keep the battery charged while I walked the last few kms.

So what are these Enduro batteries then? Well here’s their main feature improvements (as per the manufacturer’s specs):

  • Advanced 1720mAh lithium-ion battery boosts camera performance over standard GoPro batteries across a wide temperature range.
  • Increases recording time in both HERO10 Black + HERO9 Black with up to 40% improvement in HERO10 Black using high-performance settings.
  • Dramatically improves cold-weather performance in temperatures down to 14°F (-10°C)
  • Up to 13% faster charging rate than standard GoPro batteries

So essentially, given the daily distances I’ll be walking on the Camino and the unknown availability to recharge my gadgets each night, anything that’s going to give me 40% more performance on each charge AND will charge 13% faster is worth the money in my book. And at 33g ea (both Enduro and Standard), I can afford to take all four batteries along with me.
