At this stage I’ve decided to wear my straw cowboy hat (not pictured) on my walk. It’s a cool hat that I bought at a Rock/Metal shop in LA a few years back on my way to a Monsters of Rock Cruise. I’m hoping it’ll give me better sun protection than a baseball cap (see the heat issues on my last training walk) and look cooler than a fishing/bucket hat (gotta look cool on the Camino right?).
What is sure to make it look decidedly NOT COOL though is today’s purchase – essentially a shower cap for cowboy hats. But given the months of October and November are #2 and #3 ranked wettest months in Spain – I want to make sure my straw hat completes the journey too, cool or otherwise.
