A travel what? I hear you say. Am I gonna be laying bricks along the route? Well hopefully not but I guess if the opportunity came up to get involved in the odd building project, this could do the job – I guess.
But no this is more for those unexpected and unwanted major bio-emergencies that you just can’t avoid.
Apparently a common question asked of Camino travellers (pilgrims) is “What do you do if you have to go to the toilet while you’re walking the Camino?”. And although it’s an 800km walk, there’s actually towns dotted every 5km or so and you’re never too far from a toilet (un baño).
So why then do I need a #2 spade? Well let’s just say for the 17g of weight burden, I’d rather not be “that guy” that was caught out mid-town after a night of dodgy tapas. And, where even waddling 100m feels like a life and death moment that your limited clothing won’t easily recover from.
